Chaparral is a community in South Calgary, covering about 5.5 km² in City Ward 14, with SE addresses. In the 2021 Census it had 12,500 residents in 4,170 occupied homes: 79% detached houses, 8% semi-detached, 8% row houses and 5% apartments. About 81% of homes were built between 1991 and 2010, and the local community association is the Chaparral Community Association.
